Key Benefits

• Tax-exempt designation. Affiliation with Southwest Initiative Foundation provides a community fund with tax-exempt status and fiduciary oversight without a need to incorporate as a 501(c)(3) public charity.

• Professional financial and investment services. Resources are raised within a community and professionally invested by Southwest Initiative Foundation.

• Cost-effectiveness. The Foundation charges a simple administrative fee of 0.7% of the fund’s year-end balance annually, which generally includes all foundation services.

Our Current Project

    We do not currently have an active project fund.  Typically project funds are considered short term actions and are set up on a one year agreement.  The Highway 12 Project continues to work on the beautification of the east gateway to Litchfield but is no longer associated with the community foundation.
